It'll depend on the system you have in your Ford vehicle Brian, but when "SYNC" is chosen as your media device, you can usually press "Menu" to change the device it uses to "USB". You'll see the three options as "Bluetooth audio, Line-in, and USB". Once you're set to USB as the input, your device should cue up as a storage device.

Just a tip, if you are using a Bluetooth capable phone with music on it, you can just change the SYNC input to "Bluetooth Audio" and it will play automatically.
