the only thing i’m mad about is that Peter didn’t even try to fix it afterwards, he literally ignored it all until the ending.

What gets me mad is that he just ignored how dressed up she was

the hot tub scene seemed genuine as if he really liked covey, that's why this scene shookt me 💔💔

we all agree that the sequel just ruined the most iconic hot tub scene 😑

They both weren’t right for one another, he kept secrets and lied — while LJ was insecure in their relationship and never openly talked about it with Peter. Even deciding to lead John on (she did. She 100% did.) while in a relationship like what? And Peter’s in the wrong. So is she.

*And I can’t even say she deserves John because she doesn’t. He deserves better.*

I guess this movie irritates me because I didn’t have any sympathy for anyone but John. And that’s what sucks.

This is why we always should pick the second guy

I feel like this scene would’ve been better if she hadn’t shown him the picture until he gave her his answer... like obviously he was going to be truthful with her because she showed him the proof first

Even when they fight you can see they still love one another. So awesome together... I love it.✌️✌️

I feel bad in this situation but again this is a typical high school relationship she felt insecure b/c Peter's ex kept popping up and Peter was too passive about this sort of situation either way no one is ultimately to blame but I think the time apart helped them both realize the relationship was worth fighting for.

honestly i didn't like the movie sm cause it made me think that lara jean was more wrong than peter. in the book she never did anything wrong with john or peter, at least not like it's shown in the movie. she was honest since the beginning and peter was a really crappy bf... like a billion times more than in the film. (he actually asks her to give him the necklace back since they're not dating anymore i actually get his side but it's just so heartbreaking realising that he wasn't waiting for her. i really thought that netflix was trying to make peter less wrong than lara jean just to preserve the image of the golden boy of todays teenage movies. meh

ps: john ambrose peter kavinsky

I just wanna say something. To all the John fans, Peter loves Lara Jean more than ANYTHING in the third book, he wanted to give up going to his dream College to stay close to her.

In the book Peter was there for Gen because her dad was cheating on her mom with a teenager. No one else knew, so that is why he didn't tell LJ. It wasn't just a gossip, it was something hurtful for a family that fell apart. Without this being on the movie, just made Peter look like a douchebag

i don't understand how most of the people pick lj's side about the hot tub thing like peter is a terrible person, lj was ignoring him and i know it was because she's insecure and she was starting to have feelings for him, but he didn't know that??? "lj deserved better" yeah poor her, like what she was doing with john while dating peter wasn't wrong...they both were wrong at some point, but why almost everyone pick her side??

This scene was more fleshed out in the book for sure, it’s made more sense then but I understand why it was changed for the movie

when I read this scene in book, I felt really heartbroken and thought peter doesnt deserve lara, but after watching the scene ...may be um understanding his POV

Edit: this break up was much needed to grow their relationship in another level, like to become more mature and less teen love

Although I love the movies, the one part I hate is the nice guy not getting the girl. Peter isn’t a horrible person, but John made it easier for her to be herself and together they shared a unique chemistry. In real life these scenarios just repeat themselves and it just furthers the narrative that good guys finish last. 😢
