The r1s I believe also used different engine materials so it was slightly heavier and one of the reasons it didn’t rev as high

R1 s was made for race teams who would throw away most of the parts anyway. So yama made a cheaper one so they don't feel bad for throwing away expensive parts

You forgot the 200 series tire for the r1m vs r1. The r1 has a 190 rear tire.

i had to look up hp4 race specs and ended up with a list of bmw bikes. i was suprised how many billions of special edition bmw s1000RR there was. it's amazing how many bikes these manufacturers make and how many special editions they make that you never even knew about.
