What most amazes me about your podcast concept is your guidance for people who are unsure what is really indispensable for developing as a (Jazz-)musician - the advice you give very clearly and understandable eliminates any kind of doubts about "what should I focus on to make sure to spend my time effectively" your advice not to rush is priceless and I can say for myself that I just lately discovered the versatility and "hipness" of triads superimposed to get interesting sounds and colors in addition to the regular chordscales and other interesting superimposed scales to be played from various scale degress - it is worth in my opinion to really LISTEN to all degrees of color up to the almost unbearable tension to get a feel for the nuances and ways to go in and out the underlying harmony - training your ears this way will make you play the most out sounds with confidence - what an inexperienced player can't do when he or she will accidently play those notes and therefore it will sound "wrong" - and of course "rhythm is king"
