स तया श्रद्धया युक्तस्तस्याराधनमीहते ।
लभते च तत: कामान्मयैव विहितान्हि तान् ॥ २२ ॥

sa tayā śraddhayā yuktas
tasyārādhanam īhate
labhate ca tataḥ kāmān
mayaiva vihitān hi tān

I am in everyone’s heart as the Supersoul. As soon as one desires to worship some demigod, I make his faith steady so that he can devote himself to that particular deity.

Hare Krishna. Noone has the power to send us back to godhead, only krishna can fulfill that desire. Demigods have no such power, they cannot give the benediction for material desires also, they are also approved by the the Lord only.

The demigods cannot award benedictions to their devotees without the permission of the Supreme Lord.
The living entity may forget that everything is the property of the Supreme Lord, but the demigods do not forget.

Key is with Krisna. Demigods are empowered by Him. Pure devotees go directly to Krisna and surrender. They're taken care by Him without a bargain. He sanctions what's needed only.

The power of benediction is given by our lord supreme personality to demigods that's why our desire is full filled by worshipping other devi/devtas. The person who do worship only for material desire is pure fake devotee. Devotional service of supreme personality and demigods can't be on same platform bcz worship of demigod is material and devotional service of supreme personality is completely spritual.
