I personally have never been more afraid of buying a pre-loved bag than I am now, with the amount of super fakes and all types of scams we hear on a daily basis. No authentication service will give me 100% peace of mind.

I’ve recently started purchasing vintage Coach bags. The leather quality is phenomenal and it’s already proved itself. My other vintage purse buys have been Celine and Chloe from their heyday. I was a college student during that time and couldn’t afford it. Honestly buying them felt like a bigger accomplishment than my boutique purchases.

Brands are pushing too many new collections too quickly. It’s insane. Then the price rises are beyond logic or justification. I haven’t bought a new bag in years. Only pre loved. But at this point in time I don’t even think about buying more. I have bag exhaustion 😂

I have bought many of handbags preloved on Fashionphile. I only buy bags that are in excellent condition. I have outstanding luck with my purchases. I think pre-loved is ideal like you said for Chanel. That is how I own my 2 Chanel classic flaps. It was worth it!

I refuse to pay over retail on any bag. I think the luxury industry is going to be hurting in the next year with the economy. Many people are going to be selling off their luxury because they just can't afford to have a big collection.

The best video! I’m new to luxury handbags and recently bought an LV agenda retail with quality issues. So I just purchased from WGACA NYC an LV key pouch to test it out. I bought one from 2001 and the cost was only $10 under retail. I feel that the quality will be better so it’s worth it. I have an LV bag from 2015 and the canvas is thicker than the retail LV speedy I purchased recently. I also purchased a mono small agenda and had to return it and wait for a new one from LV. Luckily no problems on quality on the second one. I’m excited about buying pre-loved BUT fashionfile and TRR and WGACA all sell above retail in USA or the price difference is minimal for LV and Chanel. I’m looking for a boy bag but unsure where to purchase. So I’m basically just at a buying standstill. Which is good!

I have found, with Louis Vuitton and Chanel preloved, that items in excellent condition (not new though) EVEN if they are easily available in the regular stores, can be and are often MORE expensive than in the regular stores‼️ I even asked Fashionphile why that was so and all they could tell me was that those items were hard to come by. In my case, that wasn’t quite true because I just made a U-turn, went to the regular store and bought them for less. Can anyone explain why that is❓

Love the new hairstyle & look 😍🔥 I have also noticed a slow down in the luxury market & actually enjoy it a lot! I have found killer deals on Givenchy & Saint Laurent's iconic bags in excellent condition, paying only hundreds for beautiful original secondhand bags ❤❤ I have bought the same styles before from the boutique, so the comparison was easy, as I just got the bigger sizes for both 🛍️ love your channel!!

So agree about exhausting the market! Plus price increases with decreases in quality and the treatment of workers at Dior and likely others… it has turned me off of the big brands. Love your recommendations on contemporary brands, like idyl and Demellier. Excited to see which brands catch your eye going forward since you have impeccable taste!
