As a former Formula 1 and current Indycar driver I wanted to share more about the differences between these two motorsports.
Sensations, ergonomics, speed, skills from the drivers : Indycar and Formula 1 are actually pretty different as a driver.

I loved when you said "In f1 you get Plan A, Plan B, Plan B. And for other teams even more" we all know that the smile was for Ferrari xD

''Happy to be a live and happy to be racing'' gives me goose bumps every time.
Grosjean mannaging to get himself out of that burning wreck didn't only spare his life but also spared us fans from a horrible traumatic experience.. 😅
Thanks Romain, You are a fckn LEGEND!

For the past 17 years in a row, the IndyCar Championship has come down to the final race. IndyCar is always exciting to follow year in year out, and the racing is so close.

This is the best explanation I've heard of the differences between Formula 1 and Indycar racing, and put things into perspective. Merci, Romain!

I always look forward to hearing your thoughts. You are humble in a way that few guys in your field are. Ever since those few seconds when the camera switched away and i just screamed and my held my breath, I feel much more invested in you. Its like we all get to watch you get your second chance and we all want it to be amazing

I'd like to see indycars around Monaco. I feel like they would thrive and be fantastic racing to watch!

Drive to survive got me into open wheel racing, but Indy car is a much more exciting series. in the 4 years I have watched F1 only 2021 was a truly entertaining season.

Your videos are always great, Romain. I slept on your career back with Lotus and the start of Haas so I never realized how good you really were to get such good finishes in those cars, we're glad to have you in America and in Indycar.

Thank you for the F1/ Indy car comparison. I've followed F1/Grand Prix racing for 70+ years, but have become soured on it by F1's rejection of Andretti/Cadillac's bid. Since childhood, I've dreamed of a real American F1 effort and to lose it over politics is too much, so I'm trying to learn Indy car racing at this late date. Back ground stories about Indy car are most helpful as is watching the races. I'm rooting for you, glad to see you take on ovals.

Thank you Romain! Long time fan since watching you since your DAMS title win in GP2. This explanation is THE best I have heard so far from anyone who has experienced both. I thank you sir!

it's always interesting to hear the differences between the two series especially from someone who has experienced both. I think they're both good in their own ways

Argentine Ricardo Juncos is in Argentina showing off the Indy car he owns. People are amazed at every exhibit.
Next Sunday he will be at the Santiago del Estero circuit. It is an excellent opportunity to add enthusiasts to this exciting sports activity.

Very interesting insight about low speed vs high speed corners in the cars.

You described the Indycar car exactly like what I always try to achieve with my setups. Oversteery on the entry, understeery midcorner, and composed on the exit. I struggle a lot with cars that are understeery on the entry and oversteer on the exits, but my brother (who is faster than me, don't tell him) is the exact opposite, he wants the car to oversteer on the exits.

I got to attend the Indy Car race in Toronto this year and I was amazed at how close the cars could on such a narrow track! Also it was pretty impressive to see the cars just handle some pretty gnarly bumps without much issue

Both great series. Heck, I'm now watching F1, Indycar and NASCAR.

Seriously thank you for doing this explanation. Followed Indycar for years and recently started following F1 and watching DTS made me wonder. Seeing you transitioning into Indycar has been awesome, hope you have many years of success here in the states.
