Once while hiking with hubby in the Tetons, a black bear was coming towards us so we stepped up onto a boulder and I tried to blow my survival whistle but I was too scared and did not have enough breath to make any sound! Luckily the bear just huffed right by us and totally ignored my pitiful attempt.😂
