Tom heads to Magic Kingdom to try out the controversial new Lightning Lane Premier Pass, which lets you use the Lightning Lanes at any participating attraction but can cost up to $400. Is it worth that much money to skip the line whenever you want, or is it another overpriced cash grab?

Quick barnstormer story. When my daughter was very little (4) I think. She loved it. We used to run there at rope drop sit in the back and they would let us stay on til a line formed. So of course she asked a cast member. What’s the record? And someone said 30. So my daughter said. We need to ride 31 times in a row! So the cast members took it upon themselves to rig the line so she could get 31. They even let us swap out. (15 was my limit) They gave her a pin after. It is hanging on her bulletin board still. That was 8 years ago. Remember how magical it was? I hope it returns

What struck me about this video is how relaxed the day seemed compared to what an “average” day at MK is like now. No rushing around, being able to enjoy the atmosphere at your own pace, having time for sit down meals, choosing to experience Tiana and Tron at night, etc. That all creates value by facilitating a more enjoyable experience overall.

With those prices, maybe Disney can afford cleaning, maintenance, and repair.

Disney needs to get rid of the cheaper lightning lane options. The only option should be this more expensive one. Lines will move much faster.

Tom's face during barnstormer, lol. Now that's resignation to non-enjoyment.

In spite of the fact that Tom felt he had to point out a lot of maintenance problems, it sure looks like he had fun! That's what Disney is about, and it was fun to go along! Thanks for letting us accompany you, Tom.

$1000 for a family of three. In addition to food and park entry. Absolutely ridiculous.

Tom, your statements at the end were why I started podcasting and vlogging the parks and travel. In the mid two thousands I could still find ways for the average family to come to WDW. Sadly I can no longer find those things. I came to The Magic Kingdom in 1973 when Pirates opened and it changed my life. I started vlogging because I wanted other children to have that same experience.

Tom, I actually enjoy your critiques on park design, would love to see a video of “Just a day with Tom in the park”

Your closing thoughts were spot on. I agree and when I heard of this new option my first thought was how I would have definitely gotten this on my first trip. When I mistakenly believed it was going to be my one and done trip.
I do hope it becomes available for all resort guests down the road. Think the price might be more doable on an off season quick trip. We’ll see.

I'd totally watch a weekly show called "Thoughts from the Passenger Seat" with Tom Corless. Two laps of Autopia, ramble about park stuff, guest drivers...

I for one love your observations and think they add an extra to the content of this video!

All very well said! Great video! We bought it in Disneyland Paris because our time was limited to two days in the parks and it was amazing!

Good video and well said towards the end. I completely agree.

I think Premier Pass works better in Disneyland because it works in both parks. There are a lot of E-ticket attractions cram in Disneyland Resorts. At Disney World, it only works in one park.

You made the comment about cleaning the flying carpets. When I visited a year ago for the first time in 20 years I was shocked to get on the “ride” part of haunted and see to the right of the car an absolute disaster of garbage and dust. It was like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year. I was shocked and chagrined.

Actually, if you don't use parkhopper, put that money towards the cost of this. Also, if you don't need a second day in the park, factor in that ticket as well. Maybe it's not so bad?

Wise Words Tom! This is a luxury product, and you don’t need it to do almost everything at MK in one day.

Tom pointing out the maintenance issues is absolutely hilarious 😂
