I was an extra in this movie. It was such a fun Summer! The pay was awesome for a broke teen. Most of the actors were so nice and approachable too.

In the scene after prom where kat is sitting on her porch with a mug, apparently the mug is from my moms flower shop and Heath and the Director came into her shop to get it and my older sister as a 1-2 yo was there in her door jumper and heath played/held her…. I’ve always been beyond jealous cause he’s one of my favorite actors… or was anyways :/

Heath also hung out with the Director and other screen writer for a night getting to know them. Its why they also fought for Heath to have the role as they felt he was the person the role was reqlly meant for.
They talked about it on th3 commentsry on the dvd.

I have always heard that the title was chosen because ‘10 Thing I Hate About You’ sounds close to ‘The Taming of the Shrew’, the Shakespeare play that the movie loosely adapts.

Most of my best friends go to the school that it was filmed at! I went to hoco there multiple times, the school is actually beautiful. It’s a legit castle.

I loved this movie so much and I thought Heath was sooo COOL that I sought out a mail carrier bag like his in the movie. I finally found one years after the movie came out and I carried the bag for my Freshman and Sophomore years. 😂❤

My friends mom went to the high-school the characters were filming at during the 90s and she says she was so mad bc it was her senior year and they blocked off like half the school for the year so she couldn't do any like extra curriculars lol
