We got our first husky almost three years ago and we have finally come to an understanding of who is in charge - mostly him - but the first year was a real struggle. We watched all the training videos, tried all the techniques, thought that with our over 25 years of experience with our other dogs that we could train him! Boy were we wrong.

My husky makes me get up and follow him to whatever he wants. If he wants food he leads me to his bowl. If he has to go poopy he leads me to the door. If he wants walkies then he leads me to his leash which is always on the kitchen table. Safe to say my husky has me trained 😂

I love the look on Levi’s face when you’re trying to train! He’s just like, “You know I’m not spinning for my food, I’m the master in this relationship. Now, treat me like a good human”! And, the look on the Golden’s face when they see Levi get the treat without the trick, “He didn’t spin! I’m the good one!

My purebred chocolate lab is basically both of their personalities mixed 😭
She will “try” to wake me up in the morning right on the dot at 7:20 (although being the heavy sleeper I am, I always sleep through her barking and whining) but she’s more like a husky, because she has me very well trained… and when it comes to certain things, for ex: walking. She isn’t very obedient 🥲
I wish I had someone to just rant to about my dog all day haha.
