husky vs. golden retriever - which do you prefer?

These are the differences between huskies and golden retrievers. Or at least, mine anyways!

My son has a mini husky and a 3 month old son. If they put the baby down for a nap and the dog is not laying next to the bassinet, he silently crawls over to it and lays guard. He started doing this when they brought the baby home. It was the only time that dog had been quiet in his 6 years of life! His whole demeanor has changed. He's calm and gentle. He loves his little brother.

I love how he carries that stick. Anytime a dog's carrying something big they seem to walk so proud, almost prancing. Even when that something's so big it blocks their vision, in which case they proudly prance into the wall (my childhood cocker did this all the time and never learned).

When I play fetch with both of my dogs, one of them will always only go half way and then wait for the other one to bring the ball over before stealing it from him. She absolutely knows what she is doing. When I play fetch just with her, she goes all the way and brings the ball back.

My sisters golden, Hank once ripped a branch so big from a tree and dragged it to my parent's front yard that my dad had to use a chainsaw to cut that thing to get rid of it. It was the moat impressive thing ive seen Hank accomplish. It had to have taken him forever to get it there.

When I throw the ball for my dogs, our Golden boy goes after it for the purposes of fetch, our GSD x Husky mix girl goes after him for the purpose of stealing the ball from him, and our Boston (bless her, she's so sweet and we love her but she's dumb as a rock) just runs after them because the other two seem to be doing something. Eventually our rescue girl gets bored and drops the ball, at which point our Golden picks it up and completes the Fetch.
