Hi, I'm Devin, and today we're in our showroom to give you some tips and tricks on how to clean your deck railing. Before we get started, there are a couple things that you're gonna need.

First off, there's a low lint towel. The reason why you want a low lint towel is because you don't want to leave residue behind after you wipe off your railing.

Second, is going to be a mild-grade detergent.

And then you're also going to need a bucket and some water.

So, now that we have our railing all wiped down and clean, it's time to mix our soap and our water. There's one main thing to remember here, and that's less is more when it comes to the soap. You definitely want to have more water than you have soap.

Step number three is time to dunk your towel. You want to be sure to wring your towel out very well so that you don't leave soap residue all over your railing after cleaning. Let's get right to it.

Now that our railing is clean, it's time for step four, which is to dry. And once you're done with step four, it's time for step 5, which is to enjoy yourself.

I made the mistakes of using a cleaner that had bleach when I was cleaning the railings and it left these weird marks on some parts of the railings. Is there any way to fix it? (My deck railing is black so its like this slightly lighter shade of black spot)

My neighbor sprayed his house with paint and overspray landed in our white aluminum railing. What do we use to clean the overspray off our entire railing? Top rails bottom rails & ballasts all got overspray - we weren’t told about him spraying otherwise we could have overlapped Kraft wrap on all our railing
