When it comes to the Tesla Model 3, it doesn’t get any better than the Model 3 Performance. The question is, how much difference do you get in performance between the new and old editions?

When you look at the stats, you might find this an odd drag race. Because even though these are two different editions of the same car, their stats are seemingly identical! They’re both powered by dual electric motors, and they both produce 457hp & 660Nm.

Not only that, but they both weigh 1844kg, and they both cost just over £56,000 when new!

I recommend switching sides for drag race and doing two runs or three, especially during rainy/damp days. The level of dampness could differ between the two sides and can really affect results especially if the two cars are about neck and neck, like this one.

It's all about reaction time, nothing else. When you watch the start sequences in slow motion, the old model always took off a little earlier than the new model. You should have swapped the drivers of the cars for a real comarison.
But still interesting to see how close they both are

In 2019 the model 3 performance was £52k, through 2020 it was roughly 55-56, After march 2021 they were £59k due to EV grant removal. We kept a track of prices for company car leases on the LR. And kept an eye on the prices for SR+ and performance for information on the trend of cost.
