If you want to have the button work on the same single page you can also just put unique ID with the pound symbol in the link section and you're done.

I've listened, stopped, wrote down instructions, but it is not working. My page to link to still shows the code and in testing it, it goes to a page not found. So confusing. I'm thinking a website is not for me and I should just quit and stop this frustration.

How do i do this from the navigation? for example if i click contact in the site header, i want it to just scroll down to a contact block not a whole separate page

I've done exactly what's here and I cannot get my anchor text link to jump down the page. I've triple checked and made it as simple as possible. URL's are exactly like the format. My # is a simple four letter code #SGBC I'll keep working on this, but I was hoping to see if others were able to make this work.

This doesn't work. I've tried this and similar solutions by others like InsideTheSquare. Nothing. The anchors feature must be broken.

This has major flaws! you can't add a link to a section if its pre designed sections like a gallery

I've followed all of the steps, tried multiple times, and this just doesn't work. Super frustrating! Not to mention, the video goes through the steps so fast and jumps around without showing/explaining, that I've had to pause and repeat it over and over. Not impressed at all,

Squarespace have to do a better job at keeping their tutorial up to date. It makes no sense that almost every tutorial tat's on their website is missing steps. Smh do better. Thumbs down.
