Not so long ago, we lived in a universe with only a small number of known planets, all of them orbiting our Sun. But with new scientific advancements and instruments like hubble and james webb space telescope we have made huge advancements in space exploration

As of January 1st 2023 more than 5,000 exo planets have been found These include small, rocky worlds like Earth, gas giants many times larger than Jupiter, “hot Jupiters” in scorchingly close orbits around their stars and “super-Earths,” rocky planets that are bigger than our own, and “mini-Neptunes,” smaller versions of our system’s Neptune.
