In this episode of Street Food Icons, we meet Ms. Zuly Chacón, owner of the Venezualan food truck ‘Las Sabrozas’, as she takes us through the complex process of preparing her iconic arepas in Groningen.

Zuly was raised on the island Isla Margarita by her grandparents and adopted their passion for Venezuelan food and cooking.

With her incredibly broad menu of Venezualan street foods, including her iconic arepas, Zuly is rightfully proud of successfully bringing her home country’s culture to the Netherlands.

I was fully expecting her to be speaking in Spanish and to be able to understand w/o reading the subtitles. Hearing her speak Dutch definitely broke my brain. You can really tell she enjoys making arepas and sharing the Venezuelan cuisine.
