The Delhi High Court on Monday ordered Trinamool Congress MP Saket Gokhale to publish an apology and pay Rs 50 lakh in damages to former Indian Assistant Secretary-General to the United Nations, Lakshmi Puri, in her defamation suit against him.

The defamation cases should be expedited in courts. There is no investigation, required by police or any other agency. The person who made defaming comment MUST have proof already. So, no time required for the accused. Court should give low priority to Kejriwal and hear defamation cases on priority
