Taking Roger Clemens opposite field in the World Series in your rookie year? Signs of things to come for Cabrera.

And at that moment, he was destined for greatness

I still can't get over that Marlins team that year it was stacked. Perfectly assembled team they meshed so well

Awesome seeing Cabrera take Clemens deep, especially after Clemens is like "here is some chin music". And, over all, a hell of an at-bat. Cabrera's confidence built with each pitch. What a great hitter.

I love how Miggy stares Clemens down as if to say, "You've got nothing on me, punk. Watch this."

Time flies. I can’t believe Miguel Cabrera has been in the majors for 16 years already.

I see Joe Buck was ruining the baseball experience in 2003 as well.

Joe Buck sounds like he lost a bet and now he’s forced to call this game 😆

Came here after reading Miggy is going to be hanging them up. What a sample of things to come for his career. I'll never forget the look he gave Clemens.

I remember being so disappointed after this world series feeling like the yankees blew it, and they did. But in retrospect, this was an absolutely loaded marlins team. Just loaded. How in the world the Florida Marlins managed to scrape together this kind of talent in the days when the yankees were outspending teams 10-1, it's just incredible.

I was at that game. Still have some of the items from that game. Was on such an emotional high given how the game ended on a homer in extra innings. Go Marlins!
