To be fair, i can imagine that the time distance would create such different game "cultures" that spending an afternoon hust changing location would virtually change the game, the same way the real world had differences city to city centuries ago

I can’t wait to see when people decide to challenge themselves by going from one end of the whole map to the other in a straight line in one sitting… because it will happen at some point

As someone who used to regularly drive across the entire map in The Crew 1 and 2, I have garnered a new appreciation for Fast Travel in every genre.

Having a colossal map is great and all, sometimes you got stuff to do _today._

I love games with big maps, they feel even bigger when you dont have any fast travel, reminds me of vanilla wow

No fast travel because nothing feels better than spending 45 minutes of my 1 hour free time walking around

500hrs later and you only have half the map unlocked just to get a fetch quest that takes you 3 territories over

You know people aren't gonna play without auto mount travel or fast travel. Black desert tried without fast travel and the way it ended was with a fast travel system that's actually decent
