Hi. Just to add a tip. If you want to build a building that requires, lets say 2 quarries and you only have 1, you can change the production of another one of your province to quarry (if the province allows it). It's free, just take some time (3 turn if i remember correctly), and by doing so, you can get that building that you wanted. You can then turn back the production of the province you switched back if it fits you.

There's a lot of good points. Some extra input. I agree gold is the most useful resource and the one that pinches most. It means I build draft very sparingly as I am not usually constrained by that but by gold. However for brand new cities I would prioritise production and growth. The relative improvement is huge.
I do not really agree that the magic province improvements are so essential. The node itself produces a big hit of income (10 for a mana node, 20 "something" for magic materials) and you get that regardless what you build. I usually make 2 each quarry, farm, forester before anything else. You can swap these to the more sexy conduits or research posts later for free. You will want to do this as the tier 3 buildings all need one, it's the same with mines.
The special improvements can be great but somewhat expensive and building zones of them is a pain but probably worth it if you can figure it all out.
I believe the 5th whispering stone is just the one from the general tree branch for free.
Spending Imperium for cities is great for boost-strapping them so they get to 3-4 population fast and grab any specials on tiles nearby. You can use a workcamp for this for 100 gold but it takes 3 turns so is probably not better than a converting to a city sooner.
I also think you should always be building in all your cities unless you need to take a bit of time off to get more gold. The global resources - imperium, gold, mana and knowledge are always worth getting. Food & production is good early but tails off. Draft is good in one recruitment centre city. Defences are not really needed, maybe a small wall.
You get a friendly same race city on generic maps which is good for your second city and so you need one outpost city early to fill out your cap. Getting more city cap gets very expensive in imperium and 4 cities is plenty to go through the game with. Plus infinite vassals.

The talk about the outposts made me think; what if you slam down a bunch of outposts, found a city, then release the cites as a vassal? I mean yeah it takes a bunch of resources, but paired with the banner lord or chosen uniters this could be a legit strategy

A good way if you are at city cap and want to make another one or you have allot of imperium but low gold. You can found a city then right away vassalize it. Later if you want you can integrate it or just have as vassal for the game it will outo expand and govern itself

Pretty good stuff. One correction: Outposts send production, draft, and food to the nearest city. It's not wasted. Otherwise, I believe everything was spot on. 👍

is there a way for me to completely wipe out another race? When I capture their capital and migrate it to my race I became their race keeper, is there a way to prevent that? I just want my own race since I have my special bonuses and race transforms for them.

Another small correction in addition to @Whoisj, in the part about Morale, you say all cultures have access to morale buildings, however dark does not - they mitigate the effects of low morale through town hall tier.

To start war. Put gold outpost near enemy to buld up grievance. Actually ok right next to, even if it gives them big grievance spike initially.

Did you mention the importance of boosting buildings? Or did I miss it. You could save a lot of money and time if you plan ahead with your province expanding so that correlates with boosting key buildings that you need.

You can change the province building anytime you want also. This is a thing that I did not know. Sorry if you said it and I missed it.
