How to Use WhatsApp's Voice-to-Text Feature | How to Dictate WhatsApp Messages

In this tutorial, you will learn how to Use WhatsApp’s Voice-to-Text Feature.

WhatsApp voice messages are quite popular for the ease of sending long messages without having to type them. This however comes with the risk that the recipient might not be able to listen to the voice recording. To circumvent the risk, you can send a message using voice to text.

To do this, go to any WhatsApp chat and tap on the text bar to send a message. Look for the microphone icon on in the bottom right corner next to the space icon on the keyboard. Tap it and dictate your message. You can use comma, period, exclamation or question marks to have punctuation typed in. Once you stay silent for a few seconds the voice to speech feature will be turned off automatically.

This is a great feature that gives you the best of both worlds. You get to use your voice, the recipient gets to read the message.

Hi when i use voice to text on whats app when i speak there is an immediate loud beep that cuts off further transmission of the voice message..then i have to start over how do i stop that very annyong beep that cuts my voice off???

It works on my iPhone but only in im English. I can change the keyboard to Spanish but WhatsApp still tries to type as if it’s English.

My regular iMessage- I can switch back and forth. 🤷🏼‍♂️
