A Weird Sketchbook Tour

A bunch of people have been asking to see some of my old artwork, so here it is! Please view it with your face.

I'm working on a BAM! video along with some other stuff while trying to figure out my entire life. The artist I mentioned a few times was Jhonen Vasquez. He's the creator of Invader Zim and a comic book called Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. If you like really dark stuff, you should check it out.

I said the word "emo" about a million times. When I was in high school I use to search for goth, emo, and dark artwork online. I loved using that as inspiration. I feel like people complain about and discredit teenage emotions and teenage angst, but everything I've been through made me who I am and I wouldn't change it for the world.

I have a DeviantArt account, but I haven't posted in years. I think I'm going to try to go back to it. I miss DeviantArt.

This is such a weird experience. I used to watch your videos a lot when I was 11/12 years old, and now I’m turning 17 this month. My English wasn’t the greatest back then. It’s so funny to go and watch your videos back, especially this one that I watched a lot, and think: “Ohhh, is this what she was saying all this time?” I still like it just as much though hahaha

As a left handed person,
I agree.

When I was in middle school, I used to religiously watch these sketch book tours, and I still love watching them, you helped me form a passion for improving my art, and helped me become more comfortable with my art, and the themes in them, And I want to thank you for that. ❤️🖤

Hello nostalgia to 12 yr old me. Being 19 now this makes me feel proud of myself because I never thought I would honestly be alive now back then. So thank you Echo for this and creating a beautiful safe space for my teen years and help me grow as an artist. These videos are so nostalgic and inspired me to follow Johnen Vasquez. So thanks :3

About 5 years ago, when I first stumbled upon this at about age 10, this video actually influence my art a LOT. I had an entire silhouette phase and stuff, and I'd draw people with the little hearts and everything- thank you for giving me so much inspiration =^)

Watching these when I was 10-12 with fighting parents in the next room was a comfort experience to me, you were the comforting voice I'd go to sleep watching and listening to, later I started doing art and you inspired me to do so, you were the older sister I never had and your videos made life for little me much better, I'm 17 now, laying in my bed, and I remembered you and your sketch book tours, my favorite of your videos, Thank you, Echo.

I'm watching this again for the first time in millenia and I just got hit right in my face with a wave of nostalgia. I used to watch these all the flippin time and they motivated me to keep drawing

This was the first video I have ever watched from your channel. I remember loving drawing ever since I was a kid, but began pursuing my hobby with such passion after watching your videos. Getting really excited about it.

Unfortunately after a really depressing phase of my life, I went through one of the longest creative blocks of my life and I thought I was never going to draw again. But weirdly enough, this is another one of those depressive phases and I've started drawing again...I came back to this channel. And it feels like home.

hey Echo! I just came by to thank you!! I just got accepted to the artschool i applied to, and I don't think I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for me finding your videos and getting inspired to draw because of them!! Your 'how to draw yourself in the gravity falls artstyle and all your sketchbook tour videos were the reasons I started drawing seriously and started considering having a future in art :D So i just wanted to say thanks for being there for me all those years ago when I started drawing :')
