The fact Izzy was kind of shocked and confused that Stickland was punching him tells me he underestimated him. Tbf most ppl did though

Teddy Atlas "Adesanya wasn't as Bruce Lee-like as he normally is."
That's why Izzy is one of my favorite fighters, because he uses alot of stuff Bruce Lee talked about HOWEVER in this fight, Sean was doing something Bruce had mentioned:
"The best defense, is a defensive offense." Stricklad was coming forward with constant pressure and offense, while maintaining a strong defense. Tough to deal with!

Win or lose the man never hides and always speaks his truth. Respect to one of the 🐐

Izzy was fighting Sean Strickland, Sean Strickland was also fighting Sean Strickland. The fight was a man with nothing more to prove vs a man with everything to prove to himself. Sean disbelief in himself and his determination to prove it to himself willed him to win this fight. Izzy got a bit comfortable, especially riding off the high of finishing Poa when Poa dispatched Strickland rather quickly

Brutally honest and gave Sean his props. I’m shocked and I respect it.

He’s brave enough to accept his loses and not just hide away

Loss or not, izzy is in my opinion an absolute beast. He is smaller than lot of his opponents, and still have the strength and the mental to put them down, it's easier to talk a lot when you don't have your feet inside a ring or octagon, so my respect to every fighters, and izzy for being such a great fighter.

It looked bad as much as you felt.... your truth. We move on and do better...

If Sean's corner was helping him, what was Eugene doing? Is Eugene becoming complacent by leaving you to figure it all out? just asking...

I like Izzy but I was a bit disappointed in rounds 4/5. You knew you were down 3-0 and you never went for it, you were always on the back foot. Never pushed him at all and put yourself at any risk.
