I think the world’s metronomes are all calibrated to Delta Empire. Most of us will never get to even a tenth of this mastery of timing and precision. It’d be a shame (but pretty fucking cool) if DE was simply doing this in his cellar (attic? Bunker? Penthouse? Yurt?) and not laying down session work for proper money. But, speaking as someone who’s played drums for 35 years and only briefly been in a band, the real pleasure is totally selfish. I’m never happier than when I’m thundering round the kit in an empty house. Long may you keep inspiring and entertaining us, mate.

Joey's contribution to the sound of Slipknot is in my opinion one of the main factors I continue fanboying even after 20 years, the new material just doesn't cut it. Delta is one of the few that does it justice, even if I think I can spot some changes (I'm not going to call them mistakes, nothing is WRONG here, it's a personal touch, which I appreciate!)
