Corey's scream may be much powerful here but, In those early days he just screamed his voice out like crazy, not much technique.
We must thank the gods of metal that he started to take care of his voice on the following years. And yes, the Iowa Era was crazy as well, but we also can see a big difference, he's able to jump and scream like crazy and still save his breath and voice.  If he just kept screaming like there was no tomorrow like we see here, he would have much short career.
