Been using this for years now and nearly better in everyway. The early rolls had better crease and made doing corners great because the bend was sharp and would stay that way but even with the change still works great. Strong, no bubble's, easy to apply, mud behind tape dry's faster, mud imbedded though tape rather then on surface.

I have been doing my first coat with mesh and polymer modified white tile mortar. No cracking shrinking and consistent build height. Then i go tp mud. 3 total trowel passes . no nail pops no humping and no joint reading.

Excellent thank you, was deciding whether to go paper or Fiba-fuse. I have my answer! I've never much liked paper and have had the odd bubbling problem. Thanks

Trying it on my next repair. Used the mesh tape in the past but seems thick. Thanks for the video

I just became aware of this material, and in fact ordered a free 75' sample roll. The material looks good, the springy nature of the stuff has me worried a bit about interior corners. If you cut a small piece off, bend it on the pre-crease, and release, it goes flying under the spring strength. Does it try to climb outta the corners? I haven't yet had a chance to use the material for a job, and no time to experiment at home. We normally use a Columbia auto taper, and corner tools. Really don't want to get in a fist fight with the walls if this stuff starts warding up, tearing and backing out of interior corners.

Also from a physics stand point, having the mesh as close as possible to the surface of the sheets being taped, would make for a stronger bond. So bedding it deeper would be beneficial to having it standing off the seam with a thick layer of un-reinforced mud between the sheets and tape.

Would it respond well to bedding it deeper or try to shred? I wonder if a few spots of mud to hold it in place, then coating the recess channel on top of it would work? Tack up and box over? Well, that will be for experimentation time. I appreciate any advice. Looks to be a dream for detail taping around boxes/pipes/breaks :D

This stuff is fiberglass, meaning it is sharp and will irritate the hell out of your fingers. I've had many cuts handling it. Perhaps light gloves are necessary, if you happen to have them around.

Negatives of paper = dry spots making bubbles, pulling it if it’s to wet, not as strong, I mean I can go on for a while. Fibafuzse literally none of the usual issues you could have exist. For me doing small to medium size jobs it’s just no comparison on which is better and easier to use

Use latex gloves when using FibaFuse, or really itchy fingers.

Is it easier to sand than FibaTape? I HAD to sand tons of over one inch holes by hand (long story) using a sanding block getting frustrated.

One drawback: fibreglass in your hands all night. 😅
