Salinas River Original and New Expanded Edition—I took this today, and a drone limited to 400 feet cannot take in the full magnitude of the flood; need an airplane at about 5000 feet. This shows the original course of the Salinas River lined with trees and how the flood has washed over the levees into the adjacent strawberry fields. The Marina airport is on the left with the Blanco Road Bridge just to the right of it where the tree lines converge. I ran into former Marina Fire Chief Harold Kelly who was also doing some drone work, and he told me he expects 1995 flood levels later this week.

I dont understand why they do not open the Sacramento Weir to flood the yolo bypass and instead let all that water drain into the pacific? Great video.. This video, is a great example of groundwater replenishment
