I love deloading. It's like... You do nothing impressive for a bit... Then you get to be stronger than before afterwards. Haha.

Lots of factors play into this. The main one being, What do you do for a living? When I was in school I never had to take deloads. Now that I have a full time job delivering packages/ 10-12 hour shifts. Its pretty taxing on my body especially with the lifting on top & all my other responsibilities as an adult. I find myself taking the week off of lifting every 5-6 weeks.

Deloading is essential. I use to get sick after hitting the gym too often and I wasn’t allowing my body/nervous system to recover. I also started getting primary headaches. Took a de load week and was able to get back in with double the intensity

My deloads are just taking 2 or 3 more days instead of one 😂, always enough to reset my fatigue

I don’t think bodybuilders should deload but if you’re a power lifter it makes sense because you recover for strength work. Bodybuilding all that fatigue is just you getting better volume tolerance and recovery capacity which goes directly into muscle growth.

About every 5-6 weeks I take 1 full week completely off. Works great.

That construction dude do 4 weeks. Do deload every 4th week. I don't train at all. Helps with gains big time

Deload only when you get fatigued. If you are consistently kicking @ss in the gymn you would be stupid to dial back. Get sick? Have 2 days in a row where you had to drop weight to get your reps? Deload then. Every person is going to be different and able to handle different things so dont plan a deload, adapt as you go and deload when you personally need it.

This dude is doing lateral raise at 40lb each arm! While I find it difficult to lateral raise at 20-22.5 lbs each arm

Does high intensity low volume like Mike Mentzer's stuff work? I know the working rep range changes from his work scheme, but what about volume?

Would it be good idea for me to maybe train harder but add more recovery time? Somewhat of a mike mentzer training but not completely.

Lifts where regressing
On free days all I did was sleep
Body just felt fucked
Now on a vacation /deload
