Cheryl Reeve's is one of the biggest problems ... She has "Attitude" without tact and that just pisses people off when it is totally unnecessary ... The One person who should be replaced on the USA Olympic team is Cheryl Reeve... She misplayed a strong hand and lost big time... Caitlin Clark is a no brainer ... Even if she never played a minute she should be on the team because she brings eyeballs to a sport that is sadly lacking viewership .... I bet the sponsors of the Olympic broadcast are really pissed and should be .... It is simple logic to have the most popular player on the team from a sponsors perspective... Cheryl Reeve's main concern is to preserve the WNBA's counter-culture that has held them back and made them pitifully unprofitable for over 26 years. Cheryl Reeves acts like this was a game that she used to see where Team USA needed to hone their skills and gel. She can spin it any way she wants, she effed up and is too narcissistic to admit it. 10 of the 12 players have played together in previous Olympics. Their skill and gelling should have been honed by now. Reeves should never be involved in the select committee or coaching a USA team ever again.

If they paid the USA women's Olympic team based off revenue and viewership i wonder if CC would have been on that team. 50k base salary with revnue sharing. So each player could make 50k plus another 150-200k or every game played that dosent hit a predetermined viewing the USA Olympics committee start taking $ out of the 50k base salary for underperformance in viewership....how fast do you think CC would be on that team? If the WNBA didnt have a 50million $ sugar daddy welfare handout from the NBA this league would have folded 15 years ago. How about try to make some $ and be a legit business.

The team was selected by the USA Basketball Women’s National Team Committee and approved by the USA Basketball Board of Directors. In addition to Rizzotti, the committee includes Dawn Staley (University of South Carolina), Bethany Donaphin (WNBA) and Dan Padover (Atlanta Dream), as well as athlete representatives Seimone Augustus and DeLisha Milton-Jones.
