Thank you, tried for two days without removing the grill. I tried with your method with and had it open.
Saved atleast 150 by not having to go to dealership

Saved a latch. I was going to use a saw zall. The cable came lose from the latch

Typical bmw junk issue 🤦🏼. People not a bad idea to randomly spray your locking mechanism/ latches/ cables etc with some sort of “lube” and that will prevent or atleast help prevent this from happening!
