the starship station is the one i am looking for the most, aside from a gigantic new telescope and the obvious development milestones

Hubble has a docking ring on it that is a mimic of the ISS. One of the last Shuttle missions had that installed so anything that can dock with the ISS can connect with Hubble and drag it back into orbit.

The Hubble orbit is low enough that it does hit a few particles of earth’s atmosphere. Slowing it down which lowers its orbit. It needs a boost every couple years to fix that.

Currently the plan is a dragon capsule.

Great times ahead regardless if its pushed out some. Amazing we havent been on the moon in decades. Just imagine if the innovation never stopped. Space x is game changing for the world.

So I've always felt that landing a Starship with people on board will never work out. I think it will be be able to bring many to space, but coming back reliably will have to be done in large capsule of some kind.

All these targets will probably change. I would add at least 3 years to everything in case of unforeseen delays. Especially when getting launch licenses from the federal government.

When it comes to timelines, all the numbers presented here are in Elon time. Elon is a very optimistic person, and his estimates are for the earliest possible time that something COULD happen, if everything goes exactly right. This is extremely useful when you are trying to motivate a large group of engineers to get things done quickly. The fact that these goals exist at all is all on Elon as well. He is truly the Big Picture thinker in all this. It is certain that the Congress, who control NASA's budget, were not thinking like this before SpaceX started making it all possible.

Starship will have the same problem with crew that the Space Shuttle had. The crew of Challenger apparently survived the explosion, but had no way to avoid being splattered on ocean impact.

Proposal: The booster keeps on exploding because of loss of fuel.

Install pistons in the tanks at just enough pressure to keep the fuel coming into the engines.

This will take some more mass and reduce payload. But constantly exploding boosters will not get us to the Moon or Mars.
