iPhone 8 Plus on iOS 16 - How does it run? Hello all and welcome to my Apple iPhone 8 Plus on iOS 16 review of performance video. The iPhone 8 Plus is a 4.5-year-old iPhone in apple's lineup to receive iOS 16 and in this video, I am going to show you how it performs on beta 1 which should give you an idea of how it may perform come this fall as it improves it will get better, but this is a good preliminary look at its current performance. The intention of this video is to help iPhone 8 Plus see what they can expect. Apple iPhone 8 Plus launched in September of 2017 which would make it 5 years old this September and it will be receiving iOS 15. Apple iPhone 8 Plus comes with a 5.5" Retina Display, Apple A11 Bionic CPU, 3GB of ram, and a single 4K60 camera. So glad to see the iPhone 8 Plus on iOS 16 being reviewed. Honestly I have one myself in Gold, and iOS 16 on it at first was kinda laggy, but now it’s pretty much manageable. Only problem is with the haptics, which has gone crazy. But yeah overall it’s pretty much fine. Sad to see this as the last iPhone to be supported

Very informative video. Thank you for posting. My iPhone 8 Plus will be 5 years old in December. Battery health is 81%. I can usually get through one day on a full charge.But I keep my home and car chargers close by. My only complaint is, when I say, "Hey Siri" instead of the loud, high pitch tone that was on every other iOS, 16 has a low volume, low pitch tone, that I can barely hear. I haven't seen any comments on this anywhere. I guess I'm alone with this issue.

Thank you for an excellent review of the 8 Plus in relation to iOS 16 (beta). I think there are quite a few out there who still have their 8 Plus and appreciate the phone for what it is. For my part, the 8 Plus works really well and I do not feel the need to replace it (yet). The power consumption in your case is very similar to how my old 5S is performing. It can easily lose 20-30% battery capacity in 15-20 minutes, but it works fine even if it gets hot and of course has some delays. I use it mostly without a SIM card and listen to Spotify when I run or go for a walk (it weighs almost nothing).

I’ve had my 8 plus for a little over 4 years and recently had charging port replaced and my baterry which was at 74% of the original which made a huge difference, and now after 4 years I learned it has wireless charging which is ab to b fun

Thanks Nick! Great video! I sold my 8 plus right before pandemic and of course I missed the Touch ID, and I still miss it, Apple brought this button to perfection. On the other hand gestures are perfect too (without mask😀), so I guess if I get back the 8 plus back I would miss gestures 🤔😄

Thanks for the video. I plan on holding my 8 plus for as long as I can. We’ll see about iOS 17. Hope 17 will also support 8 plus. Right now, apps only require iOS 14. So we still will get another two years on the 8 plus and maybe three years if 17 supports

I bought my iPhone 8 Plus back in 2018 and haven’t updated it since I got it, it’s okay since I only used YouTube and WhatsApp but I just updated to ios 16 cuz my old version doesn’t support WhatsApp anymore I hope I didn’t ruin the phone
