I recently got my own Thai at home depot in Illinois Chicago area. About $20, but much small than yours. Anyway, I remember seeing these at nurseries for like $800!! It's wild when you said a plant newbie could have this as their first plant and not even think anything about it. 🤯

Back in May our local grocery store called Publix were selling Thai Constellation for $59.99 and these plants were matured plants already! Mine had 5 huge leaves. I couldn’t BELIEVE how cheap it was for that size! It could have been an easy $600-$1000 a year or two ago! I love mine so much. Thankful to my plant group who posted about it being sold at Publix.🥰🙏🏼🙌🏽

Bought my Thai from Coolective Plants via Amazon for $58 back in May. Now they are down to $50 (for a 4 inch pot). You are right about the prices and availability changing for the better! ☺

Not a monstera, but I've been hitting up Wal-Mart for their houseplants - as they stopped.watering them for the fall - and I've gotten so many philodenndron for about a dollar each...and since I really like the golden crocodile and ring of fire, and I remember not wanting to spend big $$ on them, its been a trip!
Love seeing n you so excited and they're absolutely lovely! We don't have them on the cheap here yet.

I found a really full healthy Peperomia Hope at Safeway - just one sitting all by itself. I didn’t buy it but when I got home I couldn’t stop thinking about it so the next day I went back and it was still there. I was so happy and it’s growing like a weed! Good for me! 🩷🪴🩷
