► It's likely the cost of living crisis will be a factor in how people vote in the local elections later this week. But in one town in Wales, something else has been hanging over their head - residents of Bridgend County say a scheme to help insulate their homes has instead left them "disgusting".

The area is currently a Labour majority council but in one part of a South Wales red wall, could it stay that way?

Pay for the job THREE times.
*1st* pay your mates a premium to do a shitty job and enrich themselves.
*2nd* pay real contractors with a good reputation, below the odds to repair the shoddy work done in the first place.
*3rd* pay to tear the whole thing down and build a new home because the previous two attempts to retrofit have left the property too badly damaged to be cost effectively repaired.

The lottery should be putting money into deprived areas like this, the local council and college has neglected the area for years now.

New roads and vast improvement to the existing roads would help and a pavement wouldn’t be nice too.
The revlon site has been empty for years and years with zero investment has still left the site empty, that once employed thousands of people.

As a welshman I do agree that mid wales, the valleys and north are more forgotten about tham us here in the south I live in Swansea and the city is more modernized like cardiff than the rest of Wales, lots of money gets invested in my city there's currently a £1.3b project going on here, new mordern electronic light up copper led arena and bridge paying homage to swansea past as copperopolis it holds 3500 people for concerts, shows ect, new student accommodations, offices, wind street remodeling, new castle square with restaurants and their currently planning on having the UK's first tidal lagoon our governments invest most of their money in cardiff and swansea the rest of wales is forgotten about

Dear people of Wales, as an English man let me explain something about Boris Johnson. He clearly suffers some challenges up in his head and we would be better off without him.
