My favorite Gardner. I bought those exact hydrangeas today. Came home and hopped on this channel to see what I can find. So happy I was lucky to find a video. 😊

Thanks for explaining why my hydrangea recommended me to cut off the blooms. It is hard to make yourself cut off something so beautiful and throw it away.

Hi Devin, I love your videos. You give genuine and easy to follow language and have a great personality. A question, Can I plant and sustain a healthy Hydrangea in a pot? I live in Delaware, and we generally have mild winters, but I am installing a shed with large windows to use as a sort of winter greenhouse. Any advice? Thanks for all the wonderful and informative education.

I love hydrangeas and roses. That's what I have in my yard along with your small lilac bush I bought from you on QVC last year. It's in a container on my back porch. Would love me videos on these plants please. Thanks!🦋🌻🌻🦋✌

I just bought a beautiful blue one yesterday. I live in Ontario Canada. Should I just water it, and plant in the Fall? It's quite hot here in Kingston, Ontario Canada.

I'm a new subscriber and new to hydrangeas. I really love your channel! Great advice!! I live in the zone 7a, and I just planted a big leaf hydrangea first week in June. The hydrangea I got from the nursery already has lots of blooms. It is so beautiful!! I read one of your comments saying that one would need to water the hydrangea more often if blooms are not cut off at the early stage of planting. Since I planted it facing the south side of the house, it gets hot in the afternoon between 1:00 and 4:00. I water the plant early in the morning and early evening. Should I water one more time in the afternoon, say 3ish to help with the heat and not cutting off the blooms? Thanks!

Nice video. I saw you planted in the shade but still have some sun. In the video, was that morning sun or afternoon sun?

Love these plants, we are planning to put in a few this year. Was wondering if you've ever done Texas Sage. We saw them at our local home depot and would love to plant them but we are a bit confused if they will survive.

The worker there said they are hardy to zone 4 which we are in Minnesota but research I get some say only zone 8 and some say zone 4.

I planted a Mathilda Gutges in a container last year and it did fine, but the blooms went from purplish to green after a few months...is that normal? It didn't seem to be end of season for the plant, but the blooms definitely went green. I'm just now seeing some buds/new growth starting now that we have officially started spring so I'm curious to see what it looks like.

I am about to plant flowers for the first time in my garden and have watched many videos. I have hydrangea macrophyllas and was wondering if o plant them in June do I need to cut all the flowers off or is this a suggestion for earlier months only?

It’s late May here in NB, Canada and I have two macrophyla and I need to move them. Is it too late? One has a leaf or two, the other has more leaves. I pruned them hard😩. I’m worried 😢.
