For me hiding it from my parents is the problem. I started writing journal many times but it didn't last more than a week or two. Because my parents became suspicious about it and i then stop it 😅. But they don't find anything which they thought i was writing.

I am not consistent with journaling, but i write when ever i am confused, frustrated, or cannot figure out my own feeling, sometimes i write about my day, or sometimes i write about people related to me, how i feel about them or something which i cannot express to others, i have been doing this since 3rd standard and i am in 10th now, honesty its very relaxing and saves you from overthinking...

I actually had a diary in which I wrote everything, my frustrations, feelings, my favourite songs, to do lists, wish lists, qoutes, poems, movies, my crushes....it was very personal and deep.

My mom read it and she scolded(actually screamed and hit me)me saying that I am not supposed to keep any secrets from her!!

She took away my diary and ig it's gone now....years of memories down the drain.

My heart broke when she said that she had read it😢
I don't even have a grain of privacy!

Lesson learnt is that I am never gonna write my feelings on a piece of paper ever again.Maybe when I grow up and get a new home for myself, then I'll write!

I started writing journal but it was frustrating and time consuming honestly, plus i wanted to writed tons of thing so it got me no where and it just didn't feel like therapy. Instead make a doodle journal where you draw your feelings or any related cartoon instead of paragraph which are a headache to read again. Believe me its more fun and calming process . You get more clarity as well looking at the doodles you made.
