It was so nice that you actually said that the the £18 journal was expensive. So often on all the videos people are paying about £85 for one and over £100 to £200 on designer paints and it makes you feel inadequate that you don't have the money for these. It's sort of put across that you need all these special paints and designer brands to be an artist. When really the art comes from within oneself and not from designer stuff. There are wonderful art products out there, people can be really snobby. You can have a glue stick, an old magazine page and a sheet of paper and make art with it or just a basic pencil and paper. It is so nice for someone to understand that these days, £18 can be a lot of money. I don't even have that a week to eat with. Your videos always cheer me up and make me happy. Thank you xXx

You seem such a young carefree girl of 18. Love how you've kept your hair long and natural too.
Talented sketcher.

Your video was great .It was wonderful to hear someone talk art, you are obviously a trained artist by the language you use, thank you for a very inspiring demonstration.I too am a retired art teacher, I now live in Australia and have been retired from art teaching for some years .At 82 I still art journal.it gives me great satisfaction as I’m pretty much immobile these days. Once again thank you for your inspiration.

'You're free to make terrible art'. I love that. Regardless, your journals are so beautiful and inspiring and this video felt like a safe place in itself. I'm coming to the end of my therapy sessions, and I think art journaling is really going to help me.

Every morning with a cup of coffee...Have been using the same techniques for years, never thought to name it....just enjoyed it. And, what I find profoundly interesting is that a string of family deaths (7) and I stopped doing that personal ritual. Now your channel shows up on my feed. No coincidence. I think sometimes you just need to do NOTHING until something magical is remembered and then you dance back into your 'vein of joy.' That is what this vlog had done for me...thank you, and please don't stop sharing. 🌬 you are a ray of sunshine 🌞

Suffering with a chronic back, Art did not leave me but I left Art. After ten years of coping with pain, I realized that without Art, I am lost with only my pain but with ArtI I can live as the person I once was:) Thanks so much I am so glad that you appeared in my feed about ten minuites after I took an unfinished picture from my store box to complete for the first time:)

At age 18, in 1970, I started keeping a diary.... Page a day.... Full.... In 1972, as a, student I added a large notebook where I wrote down thoughts and feelings and quotes etc. That's as well as the A5 size page a day diary.... Full. I continued with this until '78 when I got married and life settled down. But I always had an engagement diary where I noted things as well as my 'engagements '. In the 90s I started getting nice blank notebooks and writing as often as I felt like it. Thoughts and feelings. A day to day record of all the holidays (I went to India for work and 2 trips to Egypt for pleasure). No one had ever talked about "journalling ", but then, this was pre Internet. So now, as I approach my 69th birthday next year, I have 50 years worth of Some day I'll look back on it all.
It is all writing. I'm a writer at heart not a visual artist and all that drawing and sticking that you do doesn't fire me up at all. But I do like to write with different coloured pens. 😅 And I like the act of handwriting.

I love this idea - I really didn't realize art journaling was a thing.

As someone who has several journals that include devotional, poetry, drawing and inspirational I always felt that I was doing it 'wrong', so it's so absolutely affirming to see someone have lots of different journals to use 'as the mood strikes'!

I come from a family of artists on my mom's side, some of whom were good enough to make a living at it...and I wished more than anything as a child that I could just sit down and draw anything I liked. I joked that I was holding the door when art talent was passed out. I've always loved lettering and I love to write, and I love collage, so I combine those in my journal. Thank you for being so inspiring and natural. I'm teaching myself to draw and received a huge art set for Christmas from my brother and his wife, and he also gave me a book about oil painting for Easter...the possibilities are limitless!

I found art journaling when I was deep in an episode of depression and anxiety in 2014. I have art journaled every day since! I spent a whopping £20 on a mixed media sketchbook once and although I loved it it was too extravagant for me to do again. Recycling is really important to me so I now work in preexisting books from the charity shops, especially spiral-bound road atlases as I find that as they get fatter the binding helps the book stay more secure. I am very new to your channel and already love it! It's always nice to find more UK art journaling

It is so refreshing to see that you have more than one journal on the go and no pressure to finish one before starting another……I have kept written journals and doodling journals and story telling journals for a long time …. Also prayer journals…..and I beat myself up because they are often unfinished! After watching this I know that is is actually ok, such a simple but profound realisation! I am loving watching your vlogs….thank you so much ❤

I love art journaling it makes me feel creative and I never want to lose that part of me! I also love reading so I like to add quotes in now and then. I love to do it at least 3 times a week. I use it alongside my photography, I love to use my polaroid camera on walks and cut them up and draw around them etc. I love this video gave me loads more ideas for my journal too! Thank you. I love that you talk about where you get your inspo from it's so important!

Just today ran across your channel so not sure what order these are in yet...Anyway...I just wanted to comment here about a topic in the last video I watched regarding hair. I believe we women really come into our own power when we stop dying out the gray. I gave it up about three years ago and only looked back when my daughter, who is a beautician, came to visit and dyed me a beautiful purplish pink under the back. It only showed when my hair was up, which is about all the time. And I love, love, loved it. We are most beautiful in our natural state, and you, my dear, are a real gypsy queen!! Thank you for sharing your beauty and art with us, the anonymous us, who dearly love your content.

If there was ever a lost soul that needed to journal...it’s me. I love creating mixed media art but I can’t get any words on my pieces. I think I have been looking for you. ❤️❤️❤️
