Why is making House music so SLOW? 🤦‍♀️ 😂 #houseproducer

I'm slow at making house music and I know why! That vocal: ‘As brief as possible?!’ Oh the irony….

When making music, I seem to make it take as long as possible. I do this by totally changing the original plan over and over, then I like to not know how to do something, so I stop and have to learn it. Then I have to do something like find some stickers and write the notes on the keyboard (but I didn’t have any, so I went to the shop). Then I hear something over and over, so I get bored. I resolve this by pressing shift + del on the lot, then start again. I do lots of other annoying things too… I might launch a course in these methods, should the demand be there. Clearly this course isn’t already out there - it’s pretty unique. Let me know!

Anyway I like this 90’s house vocal and used on this section, but not much more. The rest is all original. There is a 🦜 also, I made it quite farty 💨 (Not the bird - I don’t know how birds farting sound) I can imagine this tune being played somewhere like Circoloco @DC10 Ibiza... full version coming soon!

It sounds good to me I'd be happy if I made that ;) I just started up again using Bandlab & im getting the same feelings,
there's 3 stages to making a track, first you love it, then you get sick of it & want to scrap it, then you just want to finish it & move on to something new. Listening to the same track on repeat for a couple of days is enough to drive anybody mad. To speed things up I keep the parts I like from one track & swap out the parts I dont like so the next track is basically a progression of the last track (rather than starting from scratch each time).

When I open up Bandlab all the half started projects are there & load up where I left off so im hearing them with fresh ears which helps.

To answer your question about the process being slow, if making music was easy everybody would be doing it, and established artist would be releasing HITS every week.
