How to make the Drum Pattern from Fred Again's Delilah using Ableton's Drum Rack. Fred Again gives classic House/Garage a 2022 update in his song Delilah with swinging 16th note drum beats. I break down how to achieve these sounds using Ableton Live's Drum Rack and Groove Pool.

The hi hats with the turned down velocity give the beat soo much energy.

Hell yeah as an amateur music producer I struggle with writing effective drum beats and usually end up defaulting to the garage band drummer auto fill beats. This was helpful! Also great job on the editing man

Ok I have seen some excellent drum tutorials, but this is easily one of the best. Simple and straight to the point. I have always struggled with the house shuffle and this tutorial showed how its actually done easy. Note that I dont really produce house and have done a couple tracks just for fun.

Great sample choice. Maybe you should have mentioned that you need to bring a nice amount of shuffle in to make it groove like that, I think that’s what many starters miss out on.

Are you trying to recreate the Fred Again Jungle song? Cuz the original drum sample is “Daft Punk - Revolution 909”

Nice 4 on the floor pattern it sounds sick but the clap and snare need to be more different and the open hihat needs to be more washy it sounds like closed hihat

yoo I've never knew that shroud was also good at music production

Personally I'd make the bass deum hits have a slight decrease in velocity when they hit at the same time as the snare, it adds a nice bit if natural sound to the beat that pleases ears more. But this still sounds great and honestly, Im no master at music.

Not sure about the sample pack, but the "open" hi hat sounds pretty closed, and the "closed" hi hat sounds like a dampened dry ride.

What samples are you using for your drums?
