Salvation Shines Beyond Hurricane Helene Damage

As Hurricane Helene brought rushing floods and damaging winds that left families in Creston, North Carolina trapped without power; they were not left without hope as the volunteers of Samaritan's Purse were able to clear out the debris caused by the storm and clear a way for God's light to enter their hearts. Michael Scales was one of the many volunteers dispatched to western North Carolina and used this stressful time as an opportunity to witness the Gospel to two teenagers who eventually accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.

This is my family.. I can’t put into words what Samaritans purse has done for us. I was able to make it the day Samaritans purse first came. I pulled into the driveway and just cried. Everything from generations was here. My family was trapped in here. We lost all.. if not for Samaritans purse I don’t think we would have seen a light through this darkness. Mike and his crews were amazing. I mean it was UNREAL what they did to help us. I will never forget how they helped my family in these mountains.
