Another thing to keep in mind is what is also still on the car for emissions and if it has been switched to run on premix. From my experience running a 13b on premix when it is stock can get you to around 150k miles with no issues. If you understand enough about how rotarys work they can be very much reliable engines. Stereotypes ruin a lot of good engine platforms from personal bias and reflecting that onto others. It is a reason so many platforms go overlooked.

Not all manuals are 6 port. I have a 4 port 5 speed manual... these were mainly sold in europe

2006-2008 s1 automatics were made with a 6-port automatic trans here in the states. Only difference is they don’t rev up as high as the manual, but it’s still a 6 speed auto

I just recently got a 06 shinka edition and I'm loving it

4 port has a fair bit more torque and you can definTely feel it. Also there manual 192s in uk there 5 speed

Actually, you want a 6 speed manual. They're the ones with the 6 port engine. They made a 5 speed manual with the 4 port.

i'm all original running strong at 84k miles, daily driven, the only things new owners should know is how bad the mpgs are lol

The problem was not injecting oil before 4 k rpm. Thats all

Here’s the thing nobody is going to let you compression test the car before buying that stupid just check the car out and listen it’s really not that complicated

These engines are junk, there’s a good reason why they’re all abandoned and you rarely ever see one on the road anymore.

Rx8's are best when converted to electric propulsion, still a rotary motor just a more reliable one :D
