House stuff around here has been put on hold- we are prepping the garden for planting- so we spent the weekend outside. At least laundry got done Friday while I was working at home 😂

Our list of projects is growing. Most of our projects are started but not finished. Mostly we start them and then life happens and its taking us forever to get back to them. In our living room we are taking down this awful crown modeling, the previous owners used something like 4 inch decking nails instead of finishing nails, so its messing up the drywall. Plus we keep finding these very random surprises where they lazy on some of the repairs/upgrades they did. Once we get it down we need to putty the holes and then paint. Our powder room we are replacing the vanity but in order to do that we need to paint and take out the broken pedestal sink. We also need to stain the trim around the windows that we had replaced 4 years ago now.... Also need to have husband replace the garbage disposal so I can have the other half of my sink back in the kitchen. Then there are the small projects of putting up new towel racks/holders in the master bathroom, replace some door handles. We moved in to this house coming up on 5 years ago and its hard to do all these projects and updates when we both work full time. And life just gets in the way. Plus after working 40+ hours a week you just want a break/time to yourself. I hate having to take my PTO time to work on projects at home... One day it will all get done, just not today ;)

We are currently working to help my best friend after her husband died unexpectedly. It is an enormous task that must be done between work(my work load changed recently when I asked for an got another commercial property to manage and got it but it in a different state!). I am working 7 days a week and have been for months. It will be worth it I KNOW! Please don't ever think that you are not getting done what needs to be done. Life is a OF IT!

Aw Jen, some people can be so horrible. You do with your things what you feel is right, it's no-one else's business. Some people need to de-clutter their mind and stop hurting other people. You're doing a fab job, most of us shy away from getting rid of the things that are no longer serving us. Clear space equals a clear mind, good for you girl. I leased an extra trash bin for the same reason. I saved stuff for years waiting to find a good container or time to donate or sell items because I felt guilty about throwing it away. Once I decided it was okay to throw things away I was on a roll
And didn’t look back

Hi Jen, A dumpster is a great idea! I don’t need a dumpster, but I will be calling a company to srpet rid of items too old and in disrepair to sell. Also I live in a second floor condo and it is the best way to do it. I am doing a little of the decluttering myself. People are SO rude, I hope you blocked those people. Thanks for sharing.
