I'm just back in the UK after a week in Berlin. I took a day trip to Potsdam on the S-Bahn and fell in love with Potsdam. Amazing old architecture and roads of traditional streets with shops.
Edit: An ABC travel ticket from Berlin entities you to travel on Potsdam's buses and trams.i I was there August 29 and there were almost no tourists. It looks a lot busier in your video

It's a very interesting and also entertaining video. Really cool. I think the last time I was in Potsdam is about 8 years ago. It was in the winter and the weather was more grey and cold. But every season has its specials.
You must have been sooo exhausted in the end of the day. Only Park Sanssouci is even huge and then all the other sights...
I just remember, that maybe 20 years ago I was a little disapointed that there were some not so nice GDR houses very close to the beautiful gigantic Nikolai church. Don't know if it's still the case.
Although I'm interested in film (history) I haven't been in the Potsdam museum, only in the Berlin film museum. For film fans should Potsdam Babelsberg be a nice place, too.
I think there are so many interesting places in Germany for you to visit. Of course also Hamburg. A tip in here in Hamburg besides the main spots and if you are interested in some rest and ancient places is the Ohlsdorf Cemetary. It is really huge (not sure if even the biggest in Europe) and in wide areas a noce parl with old ancient graves and statues. Especially in autumn summer days, great atmosphere with the leaves.
