KEEP AND TEACH. Help the new players not only learn WHAT is a good loadout, but also WHY that loadouts good. Part of the fun of starting helldivers was getting absolutely clapped when we attempted a difficulty too high for us. As veterans of the game u should help out the newer players who maybe don’t know the best loadout. Not just kick and forget. Keep and teach.

I'm level 23. Dropped into a Challenging game before bed. Call down my shield, my MG (love the MG), start rocking. Rookie diver is doing best he can but is getting absolutely mulched by bugs. Shield pack comes off and I ping it. He runs over, grabs it, then gives me a commo-rose "Thank you" and a big homie hug. Youngdiver doesn't get killed again the rest of the mission.

Keep em alive and fighting, boys. Super Earth needs us all.

As a seasoned veteran of the first Galactic War (read: Helldivers), I can say that we saw our fair share of "deserters" and "opportunists" in that conflict as well, and it was no less rough. The only advice I can give is stay strong, keep calm, and carry on. Those types of players are of a same kind and a same mind: they'll farm until they have all the upgrades, all the weapons, all the stratagems, then they'll eventually get bored and leave for some other game they can exploit the Hell out of. We weathered 'em once in the original conflict and by Liberty we'll weather 'em again, and still be here and diving long after they've gone. Stay strong, brothers and sisters; Democracy needs us.

Yesterday i used the fake handshake when i entered someones lobby, he texted in chat "wouldnt it be funny if i kicked you because of that?" And then he did. I laughed, but cant help but think he was butthurt for real

Literally the best part of the game is hopping with some random level like 28 when you are level 5 and he just enlightens you

As a HellDiver Any comrade that I take to battle has gone through the same training I did. I am not kicking anyone. We all should strive for Liberty and justice together. As we level up and get more experience in battles we should teach our fellow Helldiver Cadets so we can continue the fight. The more people that leave the HellDiver Community the lesser manpower we will have for The Galatic War. We need every single soul available to join us in this war. Helldiving together and returning home Victorious for SuperEarth.

I spent 30/40minutes collecting samples with a squad, soloing different areas, met back up with the crew to leave. And as I got on the plane, the host kicked me right as I got on the plane cause she died and wasn't alive to get on. Even though I had the vast majority of samples.

I play for samples mostly, rather than xp, as I want to upgrade the ship, but to lose half an hour of my life in such a toxic move really pissed me off. I think there should be a vote system to kick people. Any 1 person shouldn't be able to do it alone to stop the toxicity

Caring about builds seems pointless in a game where the whole idea is that we are a bunch of undertrained soldiers being thrown en mass into a hellscape

Ran into a dude last night who had literally just finished the tutorial. He had a mic and was Roleplaying like he was new recruit at first. It was awesome! We ran with another 2 guys for a while and after they left it was just me and him and we ran a few mission together. I was showing him how the recoiless rifle buddy reload worked and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. We did a mission where we had to take out 2 chargers and I brought the recoiless with me and had him wear the pack. When we blasted those chargers away it was like the coolest thing ever. I unfortunately desynced, and I think it’s having a hard time sending a friend request for him, because we were having a blast together. I’m relatively new player too, but that’s the thing: the game is meant to be played by having fun blasting bugs and bots. I don’t care what’s meta I’m gonna run what I like. If everyone runs the same thing then that’s just boring to me. What if I wanna run a suport pack with med-kit armor? Or what if I wanna run an anti material rifle with scout armor and smoke screens? Or what if I wanna run a ballistic shield with heavy armor and a defender smg?

I had a situation where we were slogging it on one of the harder difficulties. We struggled and managed to complete all objectives and we were just waiting to extract with thousands of bots heading our way. Just as extraction landed: the host kicked all of us out. We spent nearly 30 mins on that only to get NOTHING.

Edit: looking at everyone's response; it does make me feel better knowing i wasnt the only one who suffered from this. In my honest opinion; i think the BEST way to fix this issue is: if you get kicked; you get swapped into a single player session instead of being kicked out. Maybe add a small 30 sec timer where if you quit: it does not affect the overall % of the planet...

This is how someone gets kicked few times, gets disconected and stops playing. Playerbase is thining itself with elitism

The problem with people who only want certain meta builds to be used and also the reason why they don't play with their friends instead of trying to push aggressitivity towards less meta builds, is becaue those people are often so insufferable that they have no real friends to play the game with in the first place.

Every person I've played with from low levels to high levels has been a pretty good experience. I did have one experience where I was helping 2 low levels on an exterminate mission and a guy dropped into the game, dropped a cluster on top of us, killed all of us and our turrets, then left. That's a special kind of asshole.

A buddie and I just unlocked level 9 dives. So we thought it would be funny to find two people diving at lvl 1 and have them drop with us at lvl 9. They ended up having a blast experiencing a Helldive even though we didn't win. It was fun and we gave them pointers on what stratgems to go for. 10/10

Joined a lobby yesterday and the 3 people started melee attacking me at first, then shooting me. I just put the controller down and was gonna wait out the match for the rewards. They respawned me right as the extraction was landing, so I wiped them and boarded the shuttle alone. Grief goes both ways.

I feel like they could/ should implement a system that if someone is abusing the KICK feature they would stop having randoms join their game for a period of time. This could force them to go out and find a dedicated community of likewise minded players that want to play meta.
