you wont be able to make a call yourself while the device is underwater since the touch screen is disabled underwater but you can still receive calls/texts/notifications while underwater as well as record video and take pictures(setting timer), and yes functions are limited....but it will survive if used no more than the 30 minute time frame and 1 meter depth.

i'm fairly short too but I don't have any problems with my One S. I was against phones bigger than 4" displays too until I got my One S, believe me, you get use to a 4.3 or bigger. Once you get the hang of a phone with a big display you don't even notice it anymore.

i sit in my spa with it every week, you can have it underwater for half an hour or so easily. definitely water proof mate

I have the Xperia Z and it's true the screen does look quite unsaturated compared to Super AMOLED screens like the GSIII, however you get used to it and realise it's actually quite a good screen. Text looks great and the mobile Bravia engine does a good job of producing realistic colours. It's also true that viewing angles aren't anywhere near as good as other phones, but I look at my phone straight on anyway.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II, the HTC One is amazing, but the Sony Xperia Z is simply outstanding in my eyes because it's waterproof and I like the way the UI works. I wish I am in the market for a new smartphone this year.

The 13mp camera on Sony is one of the best if not the best in its category but most of the people say that the retail version is good enough or is much better compared to its previous Xperia models. Sony is one of the best camera producers and electronic company out there like Samsung and LG. On the other hand, the 4MP Ultrapixel camera of HTC One is great in low lighting conditions but is just okay in an environment with sufficient lighting. If you wanna print photos 13mp is way better.

For all if you people out there, yes samsung 4 has 8 core processors but they work at different times, so basically it's 4, it's made f plastic ad cheap materials while the Sony xperia z is made of premium glass, waterproof and dustproof ad basically is better in every single way, if your looking for a new phone go for the Sony xperia z
