These were just the removed items from the desktop version, but console and mobile have a whole world of removed items such as Ocram’s drops and the original endgame armor sets, so let me know if you want me to make a video on those.

Also, since the Old gen consol and 3ds version of the game aren’t updated, many of these items still exist on both.

The Scythes I believe are references to Soul Eater

Small correction: Originally enemies did drop biome keys, but since you could just use them right away you could get a biome weapon in early hardmode, so they changed them to key molds to prevent players from getting Biome weapins before Plantera.
Later, they changed it so keys dropped again instead of molds, but you couldn't use them before killkng Plantera

not seeing anyone that pointed it out yet, so… Icemourne is an OBVIOUS reference to Frostmourne, the legendary death knight blade from World of Warcraft / Hearthstone.

Also the Zapinator before 1.4 was obtainable on the DS version of terraria, dropped by Plantera

Zappinators being an obvious reference to the NES Zappers of '85 and '89.

Those key molds, hit me with hard nostalgia, i used to scream in pure joy when i saw one during the hours of farming with battle potion and blue candle. Nowadays it is still very hard to get but it doesn't hit the same as before at least for me.

Fun fact: the Scythes were based off of the Soul Eater Anime series, and that id likely why they were removed.

The Icemourne was a homage to the Frostmourne from the Lich King of the WoW series
The Scythe was a homage to the Scythe form of Soul "Eater" Evans form the Soul Eater series
The Soul Scythe was also a scythe form of Soul "Eater" Evans, but while using the "Kishin Hunter attack"
But all 3 didn't seem to please their creators and were removed probably because of copyright matters

One time, I was on moblie 1.44and i was checking on my town, then romeo, the traveling merchant, arrived, so i began seeing what he happened to be selling, then i found it the zaponator i rubbed my eyes and i was shocked NO WAY i yelled my brother went in and he was like me. And we were so happy we cooked up wof afterwards
