A testament to in game cutscene and not a separate render. The character is brought into the scene in the same condition it was in just prior to it triggering.

The the characters in their world it's like "we do practical fx and not cgi"

In my initial playthrough, I accidentally bumped someone with my horse coming into town and the kid shot them, which got the whole town against me as I started this cutscene, so the whole scene just had townsfolk breaking windows and shooting at us. It was fantastically hilarious.
