IoT#74 Shapeoko 3 – Squaring the Shapeoko 3 XXL – Step 9

Показать описание
In this short video, we’ve completed steps 1-8 so we’re moving on to Step #9 “Square the Machine” using the Shapeoko 3 XXL with Z-Plus Assembly Guide. This step is almost not needed if you squared the machine in Step #2: Assembling the Base Frame. But, we go through this step and Mike shows how he jiggles and twists the machine to make it square. We also double check and adjust our V-Wheels to make sure they haven’t loosened during the build.

What worked for me was adjusting the wheels on the bottom of the rail, once I dialed that in no more gaps. But like Rick was saying, becareful to not over tighten the wheels.

I am no expert by any means, however after I squared my table corner to corner there were no gaps in the x beam at the front

Very thorough. However, I have same issue where y1 is touching and y2 is 3mm to the rear. I can pull it forward but it bounces back into place. I've tried the "Wiggle-Wiggle-Womp" idea and to no avail. Not sure what to do next. I've double checked my Y rails and they're squared to the base.
