I worked around diamonds for a decade and I can tell you I have seen a burnt diamond. We sent it to one of the most reliable jewelers to fix the blackness of the diamond. Our customer was very distraught how her diamond was ruined. In the end it looked good but I think it was completely recut and probably slightly smaller to remove the burn.

Synthetic diamonds are real diamonds, just made in a lab rather than in nature. They are physically identical to natural diamonds, and often optically superior, not to mention more ethical and much better for the environment.

Those beer bottles just love to follow you around, don't they 😂 ...cool video. I loved geology in college and remember learning all the diamond myths. Quartz is nearly as strong as diamond but isn't as valuable because it's much more plentiful.

The way to use a jewelers loop is from the side, not the top. From the top you can miss a lot because of the facets bending light, but from the side it is very easy to fully inspect the diamond.

Then takes the shattered pieces into jeweler to find out it was worth 7k lol

That stone had internal flaws pointing to the fact that stone was at least natural. That stone was not likely diamond, however it was natural and cut VERY well. You likely destroyed a stone that was quite valuable, probably more than you'll make off of this video.
